We Approve are a telephone-based personal loan broker. We Approve charge an upfront fee of approximately £49.95 in exchange for finding and arranging unsecured loans up to the value of £15,000

We Approve say that they are able to help people regardless of their credit history and specialise in helping customers who may have been turned down previously.

You can apply to We Approve either online or over the phone. Online applications result in a telephone call from a We Approve representative. Following a brief application, you will be asked to pay a fee over the phone of £49.95. Once you have paid this fee they will send you some basic details of a lender that you have been matched to. You then need to apply to the lender directly as We Approve are an independent loan broker, meaning that they work for you and not the lender, increasing your chances of being accepted.

If you do not take out a loan after using We Approve, you are entitled to a refund of your broker fee. See below for how to obtain this.

[edit]How to get a refund of your broker fee

If you have used We Approve and did not receive a suitable loan you are entitled to a refund under the Consumer Credit Act 1974.

We Approve have to refund your fee, but can keep £5.

You need to write a letter stating that you want a refund. State your name, your address, the date the payment was taken and the date of the letter. You do not need to give them a reason.

For your safety, keep a copy of the original letter on file somewhere.

If you have a complaint to make against We Approve you should write to them detailing your complaint and outlining how you feel it should be resolved. State your name, your address, the date the payment was taken and the date of the letter.

They should issue a response to you within 8 weeks of them receiving your complaint. If you are unhappy with the response or do not hear from them after 8 weeks, forward your complaint to: The Financial Ombudsman Service, South Quay Plaza, 183 Marsh Wall, London, E14 9SR.
